The Northern Ireland Chamber of Commerce is an independent and not for profit organisation with straightforward objectives - to promote business between its members and others and, in doing so, to represent the best interests of the community by encouraging commercial growth and so, local prosperity. It is the largest private-sector forum in Northern Ireland with access to more than 4,000 member businesses.

Current NICC trade development initiatives include; InterTradeIreland's Network+Getwork programme - a cross-border initiative of 'meet the buyer' events run in conjunction with Dublin Chamber of Commerce; GetworkEU - a series of trade missions to Central and Eastern Europe; and GatewaysUSA - a joint trade mission venture with the Ireland Chamber of Commerce USA, ICCUSA.
